Geri Rockstein has been passionate about words from the time she was four years old when she started to read. Technology and the Internet came to her much later in life because Geri grew up in the Calculator Age. Yes, the calculator was once considered to be technologically advanced, not to mention the height of sophistication. When Geri was in her last year of high school her father came back from a trip to the Orient with a magical device - a solar powered calculator - which is still in perfect working order although provides no competition for Excel.
Geri never imagined that a girl from the Calculator Age would find herself immersed in the Internet and technology in the mid 90's. Geri had various sales and marketing roles until she found herself quite by accident running the division of an online music delivery company. She had approached the owner about advertising that she was selling at the time and he hired her. Everything about the Internet was new. Search engine optimization and Internet marketing were in its infancy and everyone was trying to figure out what to put on their websites. Realizing that cutting and pasting offline materials onto websites was counterproductive, Geri began to understand how to write effectively for the online world. Over the years Geri has written for a wide range of clients in many industries. Geri provides her clients with a full range of business communications, both online and offline, including brochures, newsletters, press releases, articles, and corporate blogs.
Very involved in the community, Geri has been the Head Coach of a Special Olympics swim team, The Toronto Seals, for many years. She had been bitten by the "golf bug" and what she lacks in talent she makes up for in enthusiasm.

Will Rogers eloquently stated, "Advertising is the art of convincing people to spend money they don't have for something they don't need." The purpose of advertising remains constant regardless of the medium or the point in time.
One of the oldest activities known to mankind aside from sex is the exchange of news. And, for the last 200 years newsprint has been the primary means by which this exchange has taken place.
